The secret to Caponga lies in what is around the corner. At least five new developments have already been approved for the area. The largest, Aguas Belas, is adjacent to the Caponga Beach site and consists of an 18-hole golf resort, hotels, spas and over 1400 residences of apartments and villas, while another offers a beach club with several hundred apartments. There is a further area with full planning permission for 3,000 detached villas and to complete the picture, there is a proposed new marina at the river mouth.
Caponga may be sleepy, but very soon it will be waking up to its dramatic and vibrant future.
